ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!

One year ago by Lake Michigan!

We are so thankful to God for such a beautiful first year.

How we celebrated our Anniversary....



July 29: Left on a whim at 12:00p.m. from home in Chapeco. Hopped in the little VW "Gol" and took off on an 8 hour road trip. We had so much fun in the car lauging and talking and Cynth read outloud from the Peace Child, a book we're reading together. Found a hotel by 8 o'clock.

And even went out to 'Rodizio' - which is a pretty much a term for pizza buffet that keeps coming!! That evening was a wonderful time reading old love notes and letters and reading through history as we fell in love. It was wonderful that night to also remember HIM together back at the Hotel room, breaking bread and drinking some grape juice, awesome remembrance of what truly keeps us united and the reason we continue onward together.



July 30th: ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY:
Left hotel by mid morning, ate lunch as we drove and arrived...

(Iguasso Falls)Of course we forgot to watch the news that said that the falls are the driest they have ever been in 30 yrs!! Hmm hmm... Cynth kept saying... I got to see pictures of it when it roaring, helped me out a bit. "Now, imagine water here, and over there and imagine spray coming up here and imagine see this full and... imagine.." We really enjoyed it anyway - They are really beautiful !!
I, the brave warrior, even went across the border into Paraguay with my dear princesses. I could only handle about 15 minutes of it!!! So happy to make it back home accross the border to Brazil!! Of course... we stopped during sunset to kiss again a year after our first kiss that also took place at sunset one year ago on our wedding day!!! (Ahhhh.... we've gotten so much better! )

On that Big Day, when we left the reception we stopped by a litte river and ate spaghetti by candle light. Then we 'danced' on the little bridge over the river! So a year later, in a city we've never been to, with spaghetti in hand, we searched down a lake. We found a beautiful quiet little lake, surrounded by a lit up walk way. Found the cutest little play fort, set up our candles, laid out the plates and had music softly playing from the laptop.

Yeah... she is just as romantic as the day we got married!!! That night, after our spaghetti, by the candlelight we even read our vows to one another again. (And Cynthia still didn't make it all the way through them without crying.... I loved it!!!)
